The Spring Reset: Designing a Lighter, More Intentional Space

It has been a little while since our last journal entry.
The start of the year moved quickly, and in the quiet behind the scenes, we have been refining, sourcing and rethinking. Taking the same intentional approach to Ollo that we encourage within the home and our clients.
And now, as March settles in, it feels like the right moment to return here.
There is something about this time of year. The light lingers a little longer in the afternoon. It moves differently across the walls. It catches the edges of objects we have walked past all winter and makes them feel new again.

Spring, for us, is not about starting over. It is about softening and letting a space breathe refreshed air again.
Over the past few weeks, we have found ourselves looking at rooms differently and noticing where things feel heavy, where they feel cluttered, and where they simply need a little clarity. Not more pieces. Just the right ones.
A thoughtful reset does not require a redesign. Often, it begins by removing something. Clearing a surface. Creating space for light to land.
Then, maybe, introducing one object that shifts the room entirely. Be it a sculptural vessel near a window. A ceramic piece with texture that comes alive in the afternoon sun. Or a quiet statement that anchors the space without overpowering it.
We believe Spring is not always about colour trends or dramatic change. It is about refinement.
Natural materials like stone, wood, and matte finishes feel especially grounding this time of year. Pieces that hold light rather than reflect noise. Texture becomes more powerful than pattern. Shape becomes more important than excess.
Like many others, we also find it very easy to overindulge in the excess. However, there is a calm that comes from intentional restraint.

As the days grow brighter, we invite you to look at your space with fresh eyes. Not to replace everything but to notice what deserves to stay, what can be released, and what might elevate the room in a way that feels natural.
If you’re feeling the shift too, we have curated The Spring Reset that focuses on sculptural forms, refined textures, and our best selling pieces designed to welcome the light in.
Here’s to a lighter season ahead.
